On January 11, 2016 Pete Huttlinger. one of most appreciated fingerstyle acoustic guitarist in the world suffered a stroke and died four days later at the age of 54.
Huttlinger was a Nashville studio artist, he graduated of Berklee College of Music and in 2000 won the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas.
He had also been nominated for an Emmy for the music he composed and performed for a PBS special and on numerous Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated projects.
He was invited for concerts at Carnegie Hall twice and participated in Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festivals.
