Famous "Caravan", jazz standard composed by Duke Ellington and performed himself first in 1936. Version with lyrics by Irving Mills was recorded in Hollywood in 1936, performed as an instrumental by Barney Bigard and his Jazzopators. Recently the song was heavily featured in the 2014 film Whiplash.
In video this is legendary Chet Atkins' arrangement performed by Diego Ruiz from Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a teenager Diego was fascinated by electric bass. At the age of 14 he he switched to guitar, mainly inspired by Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler. Next year he started to study harmony and jazz guitar with well-known argentine musicians of that genre and joined different jazz groups and played many weekends in jazz clubs at Buenos Aires. In 2010 Diego discovered Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel who inspired him for the years coming. This fresh influence helped him to develop his own style, that now you can listen to in his arrangements and covers.
Diego's official website is http://www.diegoruizguitar.com where you can find tabs for his several original arrangements, watch his online guitar lessons and much more.
