That was unexpected performance. Joe Bonamassa, legend of rock/blues guitar decided to perform Leonard Cohen's hit song "Bird on the Wire" during his concert at the Beacon Theatre,November 5th 2011.
First time Leonard Cohen recorded this song in 1968 and release in 1969 on his "Songs from a Room" album. "Bird on the Wire" became one of Cohen's signature songs, covered by many artists later including Joe Cocker, Rita Coolidge, The Neville Brothers, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and many more.The song was also featured in the movie Bird on a Wire, starring Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn, directed by John Badham,
