Inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughan version, young French jazz guitarist and composer, Tom Ibarra recorded Chitlins Con Carne, originally composed by jazz guitar legend Kenny Burrell, first released on Burrell's historical 1963 album :Midnight Blue."
The original version with Burrell on guitar features also Stanley Turrentine on tenor saxophone, Major Holley on bass, Billy Gene English on drums, and Ray Barretto on congas. Steve Ray Vaughan covered Chitlins Con Carne on his 1991 album The Sky Is Crying. Ibarra is accompanied by Tom Cousin on bass and Hugo Lioret on drums. Video was recorded in 2015 when Tom was only 16.
