Original composition by Canadian fingerstyle guitarist and composer, Jamie Dupuis performed with help of Ebow unit. Jamie is one of finest and one of most original acoustic guitarists today. In 2012 he won 1st place in the Country category in the International Lee Ritenour’s Six String Theory (2nd place overall) and in 2016 he won Canadian Guitar Festival Competition, one of the finest guitar competitions in the world.
His "Last Forest" video performance we find as one of best examples of EBow unit usage on acoustic guitar. Ebow is a small battery-powered unit replaces the pick in the right hand letting the guitarist mimic strings, horns, and woodwinds with great sensitivity.
First time EBow was introduced by Heet Sound Products at the NAMM Show. in 1976. The EBow is frequently used by Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien, David Gilmour used one on his Gibson acoustic in 1994 song "Take It Back". Ebow was also used by such guitarists as Eddie Vedder, John Ellis, Jonny Buckland, John Petrucci and many more.
