Born January 11, 1952, acclaimed American jazz guitarist Lee Ritenour is celebrating 68 Birthday.Ritenour started to play guitar at the age of eight. He studied classical guitar at the University of Southern California. Lee played his first recording session with the Mamas & the Papas at the age of sixteen only. Influenced by Wes Montgomery Ritenour developed a love for jazz and as a teenager he already worked with Lena Horne and Tony Bennett. In 1991 Ritenour with keyboardist Bob James formed the group Fourplay, which he left in 1998, replaced by Larry Carlton.
