CAMINHO DA LUZ - Yamandu Costa

From the CD Mafuà by Yamandu Costa I attempted to cover this beautiful piece. Not an easy task since to write it down I had to face the complicate challenge to comprehend some harmonies out of a modified soundtrack ( sound engineer made many alterations on the tone). Anyway I jope this version does not betray too much the original one.

On this 11th of October, I share this composition that I made in memory of my father.
He would be 76 and left us more than twenty years ago ...
I appreciate everything he left me: restlessness, curiosity and devotion to music.
We lost him to the HIV virus. Experience that even today, sometimes, robs me of sleep.
As Vinicius de Moraes said, this is a pain that doesn’t pass, it accommodates!
I was still very young when he left and for me, the more time passes, the more I become sensitive to those memories.
I leave this composition that I composed at the time; I intended to be able to help you find a path of light.
