John started to learn guitar asa teenager at 17. He graduated with Bachelor of Music Performance at Wilfrid Laurier University. He also graduated with Manuel Barrueco at the ManhattanSchool and was awarded the Andres Segovia Scholarship and the Jenny Belzberg scholarship. He has won a number of prestigious competitions and now continues to tour, record, produce, conduct masterclasses across Canada and abroad.
