French accordionist, Richard Galliano is one of most respected and creative European musicians who moves easily between different music genere from jazz, classics, pop hits to ethnic music.
He was studying the trombone, harmony, and counterpoint at the Academy of Music in Nice. As a young boy he began listening to jazz amazed by trumpet player Clifford Brown and drummer Max Roach.
Later, as a professional musician he collaborated with George Mraz, Al Foster, Juliette Greco, Charles Aznavour, Ron Carter, Jan Garbarek, Michel Petrucciani, Biréli Lagrene, Wynton Marsalis, and Toots Thielemans to name only few.
