Al Di Meola & Gumbi Ortiz

Amazing collaboration between Al Di Meola and his percussionist Gumbi Ortiz recorded during live Concert at Ludwigsburg, Germany, 2004.
Gumbi grew up in a Latino family in the South Bronx. He has been touring throughout the world with Al Di Meola over the past 19 years.
In 1985 Ortiz was traveling alone in France and attended the MIDEM music festival. Di Meola saw him playing and agreed with Ortiz to jam together at an outdoor park in St. Pete before 40,000 people.
