The Equations of Beauty is the new suite in six movements composed by Andrew York. Each of movement was named after a mathematical constant. The names are h, e, π, i, ∞ and c. In example video this is movement "e". These mathematical symbols stand for the smallest, the fastest, the infinite, the beautiful and mystical transcendental, irrational and imaginary numbers.
This is not a mystery that Andrew York apart of being phenomenal classical guitarist and composer is also great mathematician.
Andrew plays Julian Bream's 1957 Hermann Hauser II guitar, from the Russell Cleveland collection, using AEA Microphones (ribbonmics.com) R44CE and N22 microphones and Apogee's Symphony interface and converters.
Recorded by Kai Narezo at Apogee's Berkeley Studios in Santa Monica, CA, filmed by Tara Stewart.
