I once read a novel about a poor Zapatero (Shoemaker, Cobbler) that lost his wife to the plague and had to support his family by having his small children work hard making and repairing shoes in his workshop.
The novel moved me and inspired me to this composition. It is thought to be a part of my “Estampas” (Images) suite picturing everyday life in Spain. Los Niños Zapateros has an impressionistic style not heard so often in my pieces. Less “obvious” but more “deep”, if you like.

Guitar: Thomas Holt, Granada, 2014.

Lovely music, Per-Olov. I hope to have found a friend that I understand and respect and who can understand me and my music. Love to be in contact, I send you already a mail about one of my pieces you reacted on (played by Thu Le) and petition to exchange your piece.

Wonderful sound over here on this site, as if I'm in the same room. This piece is a little bit of heaven and has brought me out of the glum mood I woke in this morning. Thank you for sharing something so tender and beautiful.

Dear Susan! What a surprise to see you here! How nice! Thank you! I have been here for years and it is a nice place. Not many comments though but very good quality.
Why so glumy? smiley Please smile again! I will!
