"O Holy Night" (French: Cantique de Noël) (Sheet music and TABs are available here: https://shop.per-olovkindgren.co ...) is a well-known Christmas Carol composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847 to the French poem "Minuit, chrétiens" (Midnight, Christians) by the poet, Placide Cappeau (1808–1877). In Roquemaure in 1843, the church organ was recently renovated and to celebrate the event, the parish priest asked Cappeau to write a Christmas poem and Cappeau obliged. Soon after, Adolphe Adam wrote this music to the poem.
I made this arrangement back in 2011 but forgot all about it after leaving to celebrate Christmas in Miami, FL. I made the last adjustments and finished it for this Christmas. Better late than never, right? :)
It has recently been popular again when Mariah Carey made a recording in 1994.
