"You Don't Know What Love Is" is very popular jazz standard written as a song by Gene de Paul (music) Don Raye (lyrics) for Bud Abbott and Lou Costello comedy film " Keep 'Em Flying" in 1941. It was dropped for a film before it was released but performed by Bruce next year in the film "Behind the Eight Ball".
The song was never a major hit, but brought into the jazz became standard in the 1950’s when recorded by Miles Davis and many others. On guitar personally I've heard it first time performed by great George Benson in 70s.
In video it's covered solo beautifully by Italian jazz guitarist Alessio Menconi
