Sky Boat Song is an old Scottish folk song which became famous a sa theme song for "Outlander" television series. The lyrics of the song recall famous escape of Bonnie Prince Charlie together with Flora Mcdonald from mainland Dcotland to the Isle of Skye after defeat at the Battle of Culloden in 1746.
Sky Boat Song was arranged beautifully for classical guitar by maestro David Rusell, and in video is performed by Ioana Gandrabur. Ioana is from Bucharest, Romania. She's very unusual, amazingly talented person. Started her musical journey at the age of 5 playing piano. In the following years she also received diplomas from Musikhochschule in Köln (germany) with Hubert Käppel, the Musikakademie in Basel (Switzerland) with Oscar Ghiglia and the Musikhochschule in Düsseldorf (Germany) with Joaquin Clerc.

It's a honor for Veojam to promote such extraordinary musician, such incredibly talented person.
BTW.
We are pretty surprised that such well known song, arranged by such genial musician as David Russell is not performed or recorded too often, even if it's not difficult to find sheet music on internet.
Sky Boat Song was recorded as last track by David Russell on his great 1198 Telarc album "Message of the Sea".

Absolutely fab.. But I really missed the B7 chord that usually comes at the end of the verse.
