Comprehensively talented and educated on electric, acoustic and classical guitar, Gretchen Menn is a new force to be reckoned with.
Gretchen’s passion for guitar dates her early teenage years. She began from studying classical guitar under the tutelage of classical guitarist Phillip de Fremery, a student of Andrés Segovia.
While earning a degree in music at Smith College, Gretchen’s convinced a professor to allow her to launch a special studies project on the music of Frank Zappa.
After college, Gretchen decided to establish her profession and went to college flight school. Two years later she was flying regional jets for the airlines.But she did not forget about guitar, and after a year at the airlines she decided to focus on music goals. She joined various musical projects and new challenges. In 2011 she wrote, produced, and recorded her first solo album, Hale Souls.At the same time she continues to tour internationally with Zepparella. In 2016 she realeased her second solo album, "Abandon All Hope" was just released in December, 2016. Almost double album-length with instrumental music is based on epic journey through Dante’s Inferno. Gretchen continues to study guitar, composition, and orchestration.
