PAUSILIPON is a word from the old greek language which means A PLACE WHERE EVERYTHING FINDS PEACE AND REST.
This is also the name of one of the most enchanting AREAS of the city of Naples in Italy. The italian name of this area is nowadays "POSILLIPO" a pleasant green hill overlooking the gulf of Naples, it is for me a place of the heart and soothing memories.
This composition was a Tribute to Eduardo Caliendo - by one of his best former students whose name is Corrado Sfogli , an accomplished concerter, musician and musical director.

Eduardo Caliendo (my first guitar Teacher) has been a preminent italian Guitarist, Teacher composer who played an important role in the creation of classical guitar classes (conservatory classes) in Italy.
He became also famous for having played in duo with Mario Gangi for many years .
Many famous guitar concerters came out from the school of Eduardo Caliendo. One of these guitarists is CORRADO SFOGLI,
CORRADO SFOGLI has been an otstanding guitarist and composer . He and his wife have been some of the founders of a famous MUSICAL GROUP : NCCP Nuova compagnia di canto popolare an ensemble of musicians who bases its musical research upon the ancient roots of the Neapolitan music .
The NCCP travels all over the world to offer the public astounding performances .
