International Classical Guitar Competition Andrés Segovia is one of most prestigious guitar contest with the name of one of the greatest guitarists in history. In 2017 it was held from 17 to 21 January, in the Spanish town of La Herradura, in the city of Almuñecar, in the area of Granada. The final winner was Cuban guitarist Ali Arango from Havana. Ali is a student of Maestro Antonio Alberto Rodríguez (Biki) and Maestro Joaquín Clerch. He has also received occasional lessons from Maestro Leo Brouwer as well as participated in different projects with Brouwer.
