Variations on a Theme of Scriabin was dedicated to Andrés Segovia and written by Polish composer Alexandre Tansman (1897–1986). Tansman met Segovia during his stay in Paris in 1921. In 1946. In 1938 Tansman became a French citizen and after many years in 1972 he scored 6 Variations: Istesso tempo, Un Poco piu mosso, Vivo (non troppo), Lento cantabile, un poco rubato, Allegretto grazioso (quazi Mazurka), Fugato).
