On 25 October 2007 Gary Moore joined on stage by Dave Bronze (bass), Darrin Mooney (drums) and by guests Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox of the Jimi Hendrix Experience appeared at the London Hippodrome to play a selection of Jimi Hendrix classics.
The concert was part of the launch for the Jimi Hendrix "Live at Monterey" posthumous live album with Hendrix's performance at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival. The album was released a day later on October 26.
"Fire" written by Hendrix was one of his most popular songs, he frequently played it in concert. One of the most popular covers is one by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, first time recorded by the band in 1983.
