When I was working with this piece, I suddenly found myself playing a part of Puccini’s beautiful aria “Nessun Dorma” (made famous by opera singer Pavarotti’s breathtaking version). I tried to ‘struggle’ against it but it was too strong! So, I ended up adding an extract from it in the composition. So, in a way you get two pieces in one; “In My Arms” plus a part of “Nessun Dorma”!
