Stephen Yates plays Trajectory X

I composed this piece in 2013. I was thinking about the Voyager space craft and its one way trip into endless space, carrying with it a message from Earth. I wanted to create a piece of music that somehow evoked this, especially as the whole world of "space travel" has a unique romanticism that composers seem so far to have ignored.
