In Spain there is a village by the name of "Palazuelos de Villadiego" Also called "Village of the Cats" where almost all the people left for the big city. But they left all their cats behind that they couldn't bring with them. So now the village is mostly inhabited by stray cats. This fact fascinated me and inspired me to compose this piece.
