I was inspired by a piece by Austrian guitarist Michael Langer and wanted to make a similar easy, but well sounding, piece. Then I saw a documentary on Television about Ciudad Perdida (Spanish for "Lost City") that is an ancient city in Colombia's Sierra Nevada. It is believed to have been founded about 800 AD, some 650 years earlier than Machu Picchu and I thought this was appropriate title for this piece.
