Tristorosa is one of earliest works by Heitor Villa-Lobos, written in 1910 when he was only 23 years of age and was published under pseudonym Epaminondas Villaba Filho, used also by his father, Raúl, a writer and amateur cellist.
In video performed by Russian classical guitarist, Dimitry Zagumennikov (born 1987). Dimitry began to play guitar when he was 11. Apart of classical guitar he also studied piano at music school. Once moved to Moscow in 2002, he focused on guitar, and first studied at the Alfred Schnittke College of Music and later at the Gnesin's State Academy of Music, finishing in 2011. From 2012 to 2015 he studied at the Graz University of Art in Austria, with Martin Mysliveček. Now Dimitry Zagumennikov lives in Berlin, Germany, where he currently studies to obtain his master’s degree at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music with Daniel Göritz.
