Adagio and Fuga from Violin Sonata No.2 in A minor BWV 1003 by Jan Sebastian Bach.
Set of 6 sonatas and partitas for solo violin (BWV 1001–1006) was completed by Bach in 1720, published in 1802 by Nikolaus Simrock in Bonn. Initially those works by Bach were largely ignored until violinist Joseph Joachim started performing it. Today, Bach's Sonatas and Partitas are an essential part of the violin repertoire, and as you can see and hear sounds also great on solo classical guitar if performed by such great guitarist as Mr Drew Henderson from Canada is. Bach's primary instrument was organ harpsichord. So most of his solo works sound as if it was composed either for organ or harpsichord, including sonatas and partitas for solo violin. It's amazing to hear how Drew Henderson plays it on his 8-string guitar, which in big parts sounds like a harpsichord.
