"Five Long Years", postwar blues standard written by blues vocalist/pianist Eddie Boyd in 1952 was recorded and performed by a variety of great artists, including Muddy Waters, Freddie King, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Johnny Fuller and .... Eric Clapton. Clapton performed this song many times and recorded on his blues covers album "From the Cradle" in 1994. His live performance from Budokan Hall in (Tokyo) in 2001 is one of best in his carrer. Clapton band's member were Andy Fairweather Low - guitar, Nathan East - bass, Steve Gadd - drums and Greg Philinganes - keyboards

My favorite Eric Clapton blues performance by far!
The intro always gives me goosebumps!!
